Hi,
I have 2 Filegroups i.e. Primary & Secondary in my database, Secondary filegroup is dedicated to non-clustered indexes.
Now I want to restore only Primary filegroup on non-production environment without Secondary filegroup - does that database runs fine with application ? As the indexes file is too big to restore.
What if on insert - non-clustered index is fired which is on 2ndry filegroup which is not there to serve ?
Do i have to remove all indexes that fall in 2ndry filegroup on all base tables that reside on Primary filegroup ?
Suggestion pl.
